We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Innovation Lab team in Austin, TX or Littleton, MA, who innovates & shares our passion for winning in the cloud marketplace. The Cloud Innovation Lab is a team dedicated to ensuring that the IBM Cloud is at the forefront of cloud technology, from data center design to network architecture to storage and compute clusters to flexible infrastructure services. We are building IBM's next generation cloud platform to deliver performance and predictability for our customers' most demanding workloads, at global scale and with leadership efficiency, resiliency and security. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be in a hands-on role which will focus on iteratively learning, designing, building and demonstrating a continually evolving set of DevOps pipelines and best practices across the organization including automated testing, provisioning, configuration management, service orchestration, and dynamic monitoring.
At least 8 years of relevant work experience
Deep experience with designing and building dynamic cloud-native applications, expertly employing tools such as GitHub, BitBucket, Jenkins, Bamboo, GoCD, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack, Ansible, TeamCity, etc., including Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) and agile software development.
Hands-on experience building cloud computing solutions with virtualization technologies and hypervisors, virtualized networking and public/private/hybrid cloud computing solutions (AWS, OpenStack, CloudStack, OpenNebula, etc.)
Understanding of Linux / UNIX core fundamentals, including command-line operations and scripting (BASH); device drivers, memory management, IPC and scheduling
