IBM Sales Portfolio Leader in Raleigh, North Carolina
IBM is seeking a compelling Sales Portfolio Leader to join the Global Technology Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities and using consultative selling techniques to negotiate and close complex deals. You’ll leverage your expertise to translate customer needs into the right mix of IBM offerings which may include hardware, software, services, and industry solutions. The Global Technology Services Portfolio Leader works independently and as a leader, guide, and mentor to a team of sales specialists who will drive revenues through consultative solutions selling to large and enterprise customers. You should be an expert in the portfolio offerings within a given specialty, and have a breadth of knowledge in other IBM specialty areas. In addition to achieving personal business objectives, the Sales Portfolio Leader assures that sales of the set of specialty offerings meets assigned objectives within the business unit, area/country, or industry unit. You will lead multi-functional teams covering large, complex opportunities, negotiating with the highest levels of customer management. You will also be responsible for the unit sales strategy and gathering requirements, and provide advice to sales and development executives. An ideal candidate will be able to identify potential problems, is generally guided by business directives, and has latitude to define priorities and resources for sales opportunities. Ideally this person will reside in one of the following areas within the US: Northeast Region, New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia, West Coast.
At least 4 years selling into large clients
At least 5 years’ utilizing effective consultative selling methods
At least 5 years’ experience developing, presenting, negotiating, and closing complex solutions
