This is an exciting opportunity in Ramsgate, Kent for a P3 SST Leader.

Cummins Power Systems UK is where you can work on industry leading engineering projects such as Developing High Horse Power - Power Generation (Back up / UPS and Prime) applications for mission critical sites, such as data centres and hospitals.

Your impact will beseen in these and other ways:

  • Provides guidance and organization to staff engaged in various engineering assignments and projects.

  • Leads teams in the creation of design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, manufacture, assembly and service.

  • Verifies design using analysis and or functional testing, interprets results, drives decisions and assesses risk.

  • Works with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional disciplines to resolve product issues.

  • Evaluates customer needs and aligns requirements with identified customer expectations..

  • Provides guidance, sets expectations, clarifies responsibilities, and provides feedback for project team members in accomplishing tasks and goals.

  • Participates as a key contributor and assigns work to meet group commitments.

  • Influences at department or program management level.

  • Provides input on program-related decisions.

  • Proposes innovative initiatives and projects.

  • Contributes to the solution of complex technical problems; provides resources, removes barriers and ensures application of common approaches.

  • Identifies developmental needs of group members.


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant technical experience, including significant leadership experience

  • Good knowledge of CAD program.

  • Excellent knowledge of Manufacturing Processes.

  • Ability to apply the basics of the system design process including requirements allocation and architecture, capability determination through system modeling and testing including Integrated Design Failure Mode And Effects Analysis (iDFMEA).

  • Deep knowledge of managing execution. Coordinates performance across regions, teams, and departments on complex projects and work flows.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office.

  • Fluency in English.

Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Cummins pension: £32,480 - £40,600 (negotiable and dependent upon experience).

  • Bonus to 8%.

  • Private Medical & Health Insurance.

  • No number of holidays plus statutory holidays stated.
