Penske Rental Service Representative in Reading, Pennsylvania


Position Summary:

The rental sales representative will be responsible for tracking the Consumer one way fleet, coordinating hiking of trucks, tracking new build equipment, and assisting in management of the disposal of trucks.

Major Responsibilities:

- Correct errors that are not accepted by the tracking system. This includes mileages, location numbers, bad unit numbers and date issues.

  • Overdue units, locate missing equipment.

  • Hiking, receive list of trucks needing hikes, contact hiking companies to arrange hikes, cut PO’s send to location and hiking company.

  • Track and monitor new build trucks and towing

  • Reporting on low revenue units

  • Handling for sale and trade units. Work with district locations on locking down and prepping units for sale and trade.

  • Receive calls daily from the field needing help. Make outgoing calls daily to try to locate missing equipment and status of trade units and other reports that need attention.

  • Communicate with daily emails from/to field. Handle emails regarding trade, sale, auction overdue units, down units, and any questions they may have.


-High school diploma or equivalent required, and Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

-Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills

-Excellent multi-tasking skills

-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

-Working knowledge of Penske systems a plus- Rental Net, AS400

-Basic math, logic, geography and problem solving skills as well as the ability to follow specific instructions are also required.

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
