The Intelligence Solutions Team has an opening, contingent upon Contract Award, for a Systems Engineer supporting our team in the Washington DC Metro area. Individual will be responsible for maintaining integrity of systems by defining requirements architecture and interfaces.Identify and analyze all or part of a component's existing or new peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements, taking into consideration the special technology needs.Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware and software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire systems or subsystem.Work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians, scientists and top-level managers in the design, testing and evaluation of systems.Provide frequent contact with customers, traceability within program documents, and the overall computing environment and architecture.Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, databases and all configurations. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.Desired Qualifications: Proven experience defining/documenting overall system architecture and interfaces for large scale applications.Experience implementing applications in complex environments.Experience with Lotus Notes; webservers (Weblogic, iPlanet).Experience with SQL server database concepts and administration.Experience with scripting languages: Linux/Unix; JavaScript; PHP, and CSS.Demonstrated knowledge with Oracle DBMS, Oracle Advanced Security Option, Oracle replication, and/or Sybase DBMS.Demonstrated knowledge with Retrievalware, Solaris, Trusted Solaris, Linux, AIX, UNICOS, or HP-UX, Windows NT 4.0 Server, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.Working knowledge of network technologies, such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, hubs, DNS, CWE WinInstall architecture and integration process, Ghost imaging software, Windows Remote Installation Services, CDR/CDRW hardware and software, ARCserve, TBUs, and media, Storage Area Networks (SANS), Storage. Encryption Products (SEP), BEA Weblogic, Authentica.Working knowledge of JAVA / J2EE / WebLogic / Oracle.Working knowledge of Joint Deployable Intelligence Support Systems (JDISS) workstation builds, OmniPage Pro, Mandatory Access Control (MAC) principles.Ability to author documentation as needed: diagrams/modeling, SOP, or contribute to project management documents.Knowledge of IC organizations and associated cycles/processes.Working knowledge of the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) process.Familiar with Cloud computing.SUN Certified System Administrator or MCSE.Familiar with Agile.Clearance - Current TS/SCI with Polygraph.Education - BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
