Special Services provides highly specialized services to clients for non-qualified and employee stock ownership plans.

What you’ll do:

The Special Services Senior Account Specialist is an individual contributor who possesses strong analytical and technical skills. Responsibilities include but not limited to the following: Perform complex analysis of plan provisions, participant status and enrollment elections to ensure timely and accurate distribution of executive accounts. Process participant contributions and distributions within Schwab record keeping system. Provide second level review of analysis, distributions and participant payrolls for Non-Qualified and ESOP plans. Calculate and post monthly and quarterly dividends for Non-Qualified and stock plans. Participate in conversion meetings and review of plan provisions to ensure successful onboarding of new plans. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Non-Qualified retirement plans and the Schwab record keeping systems. Analyze current processes with a focus on continuous improvement. Finalize all departmental procedures and review according to required schedule. Provide expertise and guidance to the team by identifying solutions to operational problems and issues. Effectively communicate client data/information to all business partners with a courteous, timely and thorough response. Act as project manager for designated functions and special projects. Provide assistance to Participant Services and Client Services to resolve client issues.

What you have:

  • Ability to think creatively to continuously improve the delivery of services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business-related field preferred with a minimum of three years of retirement plan experience.

  • Advanced technical skills including Schwab recordkeeping systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications, specifically Excel and Access.

  • Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems and providing effective resolutions and ability to propose accurate solutions.

  • Ability to multi-task and work as a team player quickly, accurately and independently under deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication; business etiquette and time management skills.

  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule during peak volume periods.
