Current Need

The eCommerce Marketing Manager will be responsible for the coordinated execution of the overall (Home Medical Equipment) HME segment marketing plan, with the primary focus on eCommerce strategies This individual will work closely with various Marketing functions, eCommerce segment leadership, HME sales leadership, Legal, Category Management, Sales, Marketing Analytics and Programs Marketing teams, as part of the development and launch of the value proposition. He/she will contribute to strategy development in conjunction with the HME Senior Marketing Manager and the eCommerce Marketing Team, and will be solely responsible for developing, managing and executing a rolling 12-month calendar of all promotional activities, product launches and training, inclusive of Sales-facing promotions as well as direct-to-customer marketing efforts. This includes identifying and pursuing new strategic opportunities to market our eCommerce offering, including tradeshows and marketing channels.

Position Description

The ideal candidate is an energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with the ability to work quickly and efficiently on several projects at one time. Successful candidates have a strategic mindset with strong execution skills; are results-oriented, have strong time and project management skills, and work enthusiastically in a constantly changing environment. The position entails considerable interaction and collaboration with Marketing team members, Sales teams, and other departments within McKesson Medical-Surgical, so professional influence will be important. Domestic travel will be required.

Customer

  • Assist with gaining evolving customer understanding by supporting marketing research and customer feedback channels

  • Identify organizational knowledge gaps and the path to fill those gaps.

  • Work with HME Senior Marketing Manager to build strategy for eCommerce growth.

  • Develop integrated marketing tactics based on Customer needs

  • Continually assess, enhance, and demonstrate the eCommerce value proposition

Market

  • Develop mechanism for tracking size/share/growth trends for core & emerging/adjacent markets

  • Follow consumer trends to identify category expansion opportunities within core segment(s). Support development of the segment marketing plan

  • Support development of the segment learning & research agenda, identify implications from studies and develop actionable strategies

  • Support Ongoing competitive analysis and roadmapping

Industry

  • Identify and manage relationship with appropriate trade associations (national and regional)

  • Industry intelligence (e.g. competitive alliances & partnerships)

Sales Leadership/Representatives

  • Using influencing skills, build/maintain relationship with appropriate segment(s) sales leadership

  • Develop insights and serve as subject matter expert on effective channels for engaging, informing and empowering representatives

  • Drive sales leader and rep visibility of segment marketing efforts supporting sales Develop/provide guidance on training programs to maintain industry proficiency with Reps

  • Help develop and execute company-wide annual National Sales Conference

Other responsibilities

  • Collaboration with internal functions to execute strategy

  • Develop and execute content marketing strategies

  • Representation and advocacy for needed growth of this customer segment and the efforts that growth will require

Minimum Requirements

  • 3 years of marketing experience including 1 years managerial experience

Critical Skills

  • 3 years of work experience in marketing

  • Demonstrated Project Management ability

  • Ecommerce and or retail experience

  • Strong project management skills

  • Strong ability to craft marketing communications

  • Comfortable with PC and Microsoft Office suite of tools

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Medical supplies distribution experience

  • Experience in tradeshow or event project coordination

  • Collaborative approach and ability to appropriately influence

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in ‘white space’ [e.g., a new customer segment)

  • Experience measuring event performance and reporting, including lead management

Education

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
