CJW Medical Center’s Occupational Health and Workplace Wellness Services are designed to connect local companies and their employees to health-related activities in a convenient setting. Companies include those in manufacturing, transportation, and municipalities such as schools and fire departments.

Our Occupational Health services include physicals and screenings, travel wellness, workers’ compensation injury care, occupational and physical therapy, and on-site clinics. Our Employee Health services includes pre-employment health screenings, drug screenings, Flu Clinics, immunizations, fit testing, and injury care for the 3,300 employees at CJW Medical Center, plus volunteers and medical staff.

At Chippenham Hospital the Clinic is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and at Johnston-Willis Hospital, the Clinic is open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Employee Health is also housed in these two clinics; Employee Health hours are 7:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Our Clinics are not open on weekends or holidays.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*

1 Obtains quality radiographs of patients in an acceptable timeframe.

2 Complies with radiation safety guidelines. Operates radiographic equipment safely.

3 Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations.

4 Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner.

5 Prepare examination rooms for radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

6 Assist the radiologist in administering medications, contrast agents and all types of care to the patient.

7 Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.

8 Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties.

9 Completes and maintains educational requirements

PREFERRED: One year experience as a staff technologist

REQUIRED: Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure. Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiographic Technology

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(Required or Preferred)

American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required) or Registry Eligible- must be registered within one year

American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)

Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred)
