Position Summary: Performs venipuncture and skin puncture; orders and restocks supplies; monitors computer orders; answers phones; greets patients, visitors, and employees; and performs other related clerical duties. Reports To: Lead Lab Assistant III / Director Supervises: None
Laboratory Assistant III PRN/Variable Laboratory
Position Requirements: Licensure/ Certification/Registration: * BLS, Certification (renewable annually) * State of California Certified Phlebotomy Technician for direct patient care contact positions Experience: * 1-year venipuncture experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting. Special Qualifications: * Must be familiar with laboratory operations, terminology, and clerical duties. * Ability to work with computers as applicable to job performance. * Ability to work as a team player and yet work independently. * Prefer typing and data entry skills. * Ability to prioritize Stat, ASAP, and Routine work. * Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
