Sales Manager (English Language Teaching)



The main purpose of this role is to maximizeprofitable sales of English language educational solutions (text, software,digital, etc..) to all market segments (primary, secondary, adult, assessment,etc..) and across all clients types (school, universities, training centers,government, corporate) within Saudi Arabia and achieving yearly targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Owning the KSA budget for ELT sales, achieving targets with the support of Accounts Manager

  • Reporting and tracking ELT sales by account and product: Forecasting and ensuring full visibility

  • Ensure full usage of CRM tool, data coverage and mapping of key contacts, departments and courses for all accounts

  • Build and maintain a 3 years’ strategic and operational plan for ELT sales in KSA covering market, competition, segments, customers, products, ad go to market with the support of country director

  • Ability to establish, maintain and enhance long term relationships with all customers

  • Support customers on best channels to market and work closely with distributors to ensure end to end delivery

  • Work with all internal parties (service delivery, product portfolio, LoB, etc..) to ensure appropriate products are brought to market

  • Work with marketing team to build a marketing plan for KSA and follow up on execution

  • Able to conduct initial product presentation and discussion with customers on ELT subject and products

  • Develop untapped markets like government, corporate, etc..

Key Challenges and Responsibilities

  • Working in fast paced anddynamic organization, the ability to change and adapt to new ways of working

  • Ability to work in a matrixorganization, and have ability to galvanize relationships internally andexternally to obtain the best outcomes

  • Contributing to complex bidswith ministries, universities, and large educational institutions

  • There may be tight deadlines from time to time, requiring prioritizing of work. The challenge is to meet and surpass the expectations of our customers whilst retaining a strong focus on the business development opportunities associated with the role

  • Demand for English language is very high in KSA and increasing; Pearson is targeting a step change in activity and focus to maximize growth, market share, and demand for its ELT product

Education, Qualifications & Training


  • Bachelor’s degree


  • Masters or post graduate qualification

  • Internationally recognised ELT Certification (CELTA, DELTA or TrinityDiploma)

Previous Experience


  • Sales experience

  • ELT teaching and or training.


  • Hasexperience in ELT publishing industry

IT Literacy


  • MS Office suite (excel, powerpoint, word)

  • CRM tools



  • Preferrably Native English Speaker
