Kaiser Permanente Manager, Senior Associate Contract-Provider Facility Contracting - Rockville Regional Offices in Rockville, Maryland
The Senior Associate Contract Manager for Provider Contracting, will work under the direction of the Director, Provider Contracts. Provider Contracting is responsible for the contract efforts, overall coordination, and service for the health plan's provider contracts. The position may also participate on various departmental or project teams as required.
Essential Responsibilities: - Functions as the lead and sr. associate contract manager, in management of complex negotiations which will include but not limited to evaluation of the proposals, analysis evaluation and recommendation to the contract manager, development of the counter proposal to be evaluated and approved for submission. Coordinates the end to end management of the contracts including but not limited to orchestrating and organizing to receive and send contracts to providers, internal follow up, and document management. - Negotiate and complete Single Case Agreements for members as needed. - Responsible for provider terminations, all aspects of the Interested Provider, (both internal and external), pre credentialing and coordination with credentialing. Supports Geo Access Reporting As Needed. - Coordinates and facilitates contract review to identify and implement necessary corrective actions. - Provide assistance with project coordination for contract support tools such as the contract management system including configuration of security settings for users, training for departmental and non departmental users (MAPMG, Claims, PPQA, Legal, etc.), edit and maintain contract templates within the system, proper loading and mapping of providers and verification of provider set up. - Coordinate efforts with other internal and external parties to assist in resolving provider and claim issues. - Coordinate efforts of support staff with regard to scanning contracts and other requisite documents for the contract management system. - Establish and maintain effective document management processes (electronic and hard copy) ensuring compliance with regulatory, national, regional, and departmental requirements. - Provide staff support to Health Plan and MAPMG leaders by providing information, preparing documents, and coordinating functions as needed to provide seamless realization of customer needs. - Use a variety of software (Excel, Access, Word, Visio and Power Point) to compose both routine and non-routine sensitive communications and reports, including graphic presentations and desktop publishing, surveys and results analysis, etc. - Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Experience - Minimum six (6) years of experience managing and administering contract documents, understanding of legal, regulatory, internal systems' capability, and internal policies in order to produce and process documents that are accurate and ready for submission to the external providers. Education - Bachelor's degree in heath care administration or related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field. - High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration - N/A
Additional Requirements: - Working knowledge of Provider Affairs and customer service required. - Demonstrated excellence in written communications, inter-personal skills, and working knowledge of health care services and current environment required. - Knowledge of regional administrative and medical facility operations and member interests required. - Ability to create written materials; mastery of the Windows environment, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, and Power Point) required. - Track record of developing and implementing major projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in KP HP Operations preferred. - Working Knowledge of Sharepoint preferred.
