AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer for employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer:
Collect and analyze data to prepare designs of bridges and structures
Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges
Perform analysis of telecommunications structures
Perform independent design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of design tasks
Load rating of existing bridges
Utilize cadd to create design details and contract plans
Preparation of design calculations, technical reports, technical specifications and construction cost estimates
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member
BSCE with Structural Concentration
EIT (or in process of obtaining)
Previous bridge/structural design experience
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
Knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as Microsoft programs, AutoCAD, MicroStation, FEM software)
Telecommunications tower analysis
Bridge load rating experience
