Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Structural Engineer II for immediate employment in the Rocky Hill, CT office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Collect and analyze data to prepare designs of bridges and structures

  • Perform analysis of telecommunications structures

  • Team member for larger projects, reporting to senior level staff

  • Perform independent design calculations and conduct investigative analyses toward completion of design tasks

  • Perform bridge load ratings

  • Utilize CADD to create design details and contract plans

  • Perform quantity estimates and prepare project specifications

  • Check calculations and drawings performed by others

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil engineering or other related field

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • EIT (or in process of obtaining)

  • Previous bridge design experience

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • CTDOT experience

  • PE Licensed

  • Bridge load rating experience
