PURPOSE: A Lead Installer is responsible for window and door installation of a single job site. Ensures customer satisfaction, pre-arrival planning for materials and resources, confirms measurement of window and doors prior to the commencement of work, performs routine to complex window or door installations, and proper work site shut down. Provides direction and/or training to an Installer in accordance with Renewal by Andersen’s guidelines. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Baseline Competencies: Sound baseline competencies regarding product(s), window installation processes and techniques and general window competencies. Solid carpentry, finishing and customer service skills. Outputs: · Oversees single site job installation processes and homeowner satisfaction. · Assures pre-arrival planning for materials and resources are completed. · Makes necessary decisions about work site set up, work flow and proper installation techniques. · Assures compliance with RbA’s installation procedures. · Provides flawless first time window and door installation. · Addresses installation concerns with the Field Technician or Installation Manager. · Provides direction, training, coaching and mentoring to an Installer and/or a Helper. · Meets or exceeds customer satisfaction and revenue dollars per period. · Ensures proper safety techniques are utilized while on Company property, utilizing a Company vehicle or equipment and on the job site. · Maintains Company vehicle in accordance with Andersen Corporation’s Fleet policy. QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: · Able to perform the essential functions of the job. Able to effectively communicate with peers and homeowners. Possesses analytical skills for problem solving, proven planning skills for proper work site efficiencies and work direction to other team members. Skillful with all hand and power tools including use of a metal break. Good command of industry terminology. · Possesses a basic understanding of accounting principles. · Sound craftsmanship and finishing carpentry skills. Requirements met as specified or demonstrated years of equivalent experience. High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Trade school diploma/certificate desired. Two year of finishing carpentry experience. Three years of general carpentry experience. Two years of window installation experience. (Patio Doors, bays, bows, full frames and insert windows.) Direct customer service and problem resolution experience. Ability and willingness to coach and mentor other Installers. Must have a valid drivers license.
