Job Description:

CACI is pursuing the prime contract for the development and integration of a large Personnel and Pay systems integration effort. The program is an ACAT-1 level program with high visibility within CACI’s large portfolio of enterprise business systems and Human Capital management solution programs. The system is a future Web-based Human Resources (HR) solution to provide integrated HR and Payroll capabilities across the enterprise and is designed to alleviate the customer’s current reliance on stove-piped HR systems and payroll interfaces that do not efficiently share information with one another. As a result of its implementation, the system will provide a centralized resource for employees, managers, and HR Professionals to better manage personnel and pay information.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Serves as the lead for managing the AF-IPPS infrastructure to include all environments.

1) Leverages and maintains the existing AF-IPPS NIPRNet Development and Production infrastructure services, 2) delivers a Training environment to include hardware and software that supports the Training Environment requirements allowing students to practice tasks in the application through classrooms; 3) conducts, defines, develops, integrates, maintains and/or supports existing software and hardware for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) customers; and 4) maintains the AF’s Oracle EBS ERP and supporting technology stacks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs and/or leads an infrastructure team to perform the following activities in support of the system engineering functions:

  • Provides infrastructure support services for production sustainment and on-going development efforts

  • Provides production and development support for incrementally deployed releases and future release deployments to include a development environment for patches and fixes

  • Coordinates systems management tasks with data centers and doesn’t conflict with established data center SLAs on the NIPRNet and SIPRNet

  • Manages infrastructure, COOP/Disaster Recovery, performance and capacity, databases, systems administration, application administration, operating systems, network engineering, and storage engineering

  • Researches, studies and evaluates software tools, hardware, integration technologies, services, and leading edge technologies that could be applied to the AF-IPPS infrastructure

  • Analyzes current and future application hardware requirements with emphasis on total cost of ownership, hardware utilization, and risk reduction.

  • Provides PeopleSoft and third party application upgrade support

  • Coordinates and facilitates the implementation of tool suites, Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products, development artifacts, and support activities

  • Delivers PeopleSoft core solutions software and related packages into the development, test and training, production and COOP environments using the current Government approved process

  • Provisions, installs/configures, operates, and maintains systems hardware and software and related infrastructure

  • Coordinates CACI site developer access to the appropriate environments

  • Ensures compliance with DoD Information Assurance RMF requirements

  • Performs analytics to identify and highlight technology infrastructure risks, issues & dependencies

  • Works closely with the CM Lead and assists the Deployment and Software Sustainment teams in planning releases and delivering CDRLs

  • Ensures release controls are documented and well understood by development Teams and Program Support Teams

  • Ensures the architecture and associated infrastructure on which applications are deployed are robust and stable

  • Evaluates and recommends the allocation of hardware and software resources; researches and recommends solutions to technology needs, compatible with the client's technology architecture and infrastructure and resource constraints

  • Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups

  • Performs daily backup operations, ensuring required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary

  • Performs regular file archival and purge as necessary

  • Provides team leadership and technical guidance to less experienced systems administrators and supporting personnel

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant field with, and ten to twelve years of related experience

  • Minimum of five years prior experience in a large systems software development, implementation, deployment and support capacity, preferably in a Government systems environment such as AF GCSS-IF, DISA, DLA, or VA enclaves

  • Experience working with ERP systems in an Oracle or similar database platform

  • Direct experience performing UNIX/Linux and Windows Server administration, WebLogic administration, and Oracle administration in a VMWare environment.

  • Understanding of DoD Information Technology and Security policies, procedures, standards and regulations

  • Experience coordinating system access, NIPRNet and SIPRNet connections, and service connectivity to Government computing environments (preference with HRC and DISA)

  • Strong troubleshooting, tuning, installation and configuration & technical support skills

  • Proficient in Messaging Services, Network Directory Services, Load Balancing (F5 etc.), Information Assurance, Performance Monitoring and Optimizations

  • Broad exposure to a variety of technologies and concepts in multi-vendor systems environments, including: web services; modeling, performance tuning and capacity planning for large scale distributed systems; and implementation of high availability system configurations.

  • Security Plus or Network Plus certification

  • Ability to attain SECRET clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Oracle EBS 12.x ERP and Oracle 11g database experience

  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Linux

  • Experience coordinating staging and deployment of Oracle ERP solutions, with preference given to Oracle EBS HCM 12.x

  • Experience leading RMF information assurance processes

  • Experience working with the US Air Force and DISA system architectures and platforms

  • Experience developing fluid software solutions in a mobile environment
