Bank of America Operations Project Consultant - Global Payment Project Support - Band 5 in Scranton, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Responsible for representing the business on a variety of medium and large projects impacting Global Payment Operations (GPO). Ensure all changes introduced to payment applications are managed effectively to ensure stable or improved productivity, appropriate risk mitigation, regulatory compliance and no negative client or business impact. Apply process design and business analyst skills to develop operational models and functional process flows for emerging digital payment channels and integration of new products, services and regulatory updates into existing payment channels. Author business requirements, contribute to technical design build and review and ensure test planning is robust. Plan communication and training activities and deployment schedules to ensure operational readiness for change. Coordinate UAT activities as needed. Lead work groups as required to complete project deliverable's. Act as a subject matter expert providing assistance to team members and business partners as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in either a Process Design or Business Analyst role in a financial institution supporting an operations area.

  • Abreast of current business and industry trends that impact Global Payment Operations as the business begins to expand to support the implementation of Digital Networks

  • Ability to transition easily between individual contributor and team leader depending on size and scope of a project.

  • Act as a champion for the business that can influence business partners, develop and document desired business outcomes and ensure proper controls are in place to ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.

  • Experience leading meetings with a variety of business partners to drive problem resolution and arrive at key decisions.

  • The ability to leverage a combination of business knowledge, data and logic to understand complex business processes and identify improvement opportunities

  • An inquisitive mindset with the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly across multiple lines of business and confident when engaging various levels of management.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio to document deliverables, communicate complex processes and share data analysis results.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.

  • Highly adaptable individual who can quickly transition from high level concept to detailed execution.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve and take ownership for successful business outcomes.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • ACH and/or Wire payment knowledge

  • Green Belt Certification

  • Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Certification

  • Experience utilizing various Change Management methodologies and deliverables (Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma, etc)
