We are looking for a Medical Assistant (full-time) to join the Mammography team. Preferably with at least one year ambulatory care experience in a larger, high volume setting, very familiar with electronic medical charting, and the ability to help provide an excellent patient experience.

Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30AM-4:00PM or 8:00AM-5:30PM at the Central Medical Center in Seattle's vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood. The Central Medical Center (201 16th Avenue East, Seattle, WA 98112) is served by Metro bus routes 8, 10, 43, and Sound Transit's Link Light Rail is only half a mile (10 minutes) away.

The Medical Assistant will:

Prep and assist with biopsies. Sterile procedures. Use EMR to obtain and transmit information. Obtain pertinent history and vital signs. Give limited information/results to patients within scope of practice. Coordinate referrals to other specialty clinics. Coordinate clerical functions. Prepare and stock exam and workrooms. Maintain instruments, equipment and supplies. Qualifications: Education requirements: Minimum: High School/GED. Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program. Experience requirements: Preferred: 1 year ambulatory care experience. Certification requirements: Minimum: At time of hire Medical Assistant-Certified credential or Interim Medical Assistant-Certified credential. Washington State Department of Health issued credential. Interim credential expires 1 year from date of issuance. Able to obtain shortly after hire Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
