Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) improves the health and health care of Kaiser Permanente members and the public. The Institute has conducted nonproprietary public-interest research on preventing, diagnosing, and treating major health problems since 1983. Government and private research grants provide our main funding.

Study Name: Annual Estimates of Influenza Vaccine Effectiveness for Preventing Laboratory-Confirmed Influenza (FluVE2).

Would you like to play an important role on a CDC Research Study to see how effective the flu vaccine is? The FluVE2 Study Research Interventionist will be enrolling patients who are seeking care for an acute respiratory illness (ARI). This is position lasts about 4months and requires enrolling participants during flu season. We are hiring for 6 different Kaiser Permanente Washington clinics.

We are looking for LPNs or RNs to work in Capitol Hill, Northgate or Lynnwood . Full-time and part-time hours available. (See posting #172584 for Olympia; or #172583 for Everett or Bothell)

The position will train in Seattle. The Research Interventionist will review EPIC schedules, screen, consent, and perform nasal and oropharyngeal swabs on participants. Requires some data entry.

Minimum licensure LPN. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Requires extreme attention to detail, the ability to work well independently and as a part of a team. Experience recruiting participants in a clinical setting is a plus. Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements Knowledge of research data collection requirements and specialized clinical intervention/measurement/assessment skills as required by the projects. A thorough understanding of regulatory policies governing industry practices, HIPAA requirements for clinical research, and knowledgeable about patient safety and quality control requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and interpersonal skills. Continual updating of skills and knowledge related to research. Experience Minimum Experience Requirements 2 years of experience performing professional functions required by the project and related research experience. License/Certifications Minimum License/Certifications Requirements LPN or RN licensure for the state of WA.
