Job Description:

The Special Assets Group (SAG) manages the high risk/criticized or distressed commercial loan portfolio for the Business Banking and Small Business segments of Bank of America.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

Candidate typically has 2-5+ years of workout/commercial loan experience in a commercial bank or equivalent environment. The individual will be the primary contact for both internal and external communications for the loans in his/her assigned portfolio. The successful candidate will be directly involved in workout strategies/negotiations. Prepares credit underwritings and responsible for producing recurring and special reports on a timely basis.

Required Skills:

  • Must have experience and working knowledge of contracts laws, workout strategies, commercial credit analysis and problem loan structuring.

  • Needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment and acts with speed – able to achieve results quickly.

Desired Skills:

  • Should be highly motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills.

  • Should have good negotiation and excellent time management skills.

  • Familiarity of bank products such as treasury services, derivatives, commercial card, and deposits a plus.
