Job Description

  • Deliver maintenance execution of rotating & static equipment in the production unit.

  • Performs equipment troubleshooting and providing feedback to custodian.

  • Maximizing the productivity of the contractor.

  • Implementation of LEAN.

  • Execution of planned/unplanned shutdowns and Turnarounds (TA).

  • Ensures Safety, Reliability/quality & optimum cost during maintenance execution.

  • Uses SAP as a tool to manage maintenance execution.

  • Follows maintenance execution processes.

  • Work towards meeting KPI's and Target

  • Provide day-to-day mechanical engineering support to the Production Unit.

  • Ensure compliance of mechanical engineering practices and assets with statutory obligations, Engineering Codes of Practices and Shell DEP standards.

  • Review and communicate daily / weekly schedule assignments with workforce; ensure safe and efficient completion of assigned work.

  • Plan / execute / obtain resources, materials, services, and equipment for work repairs.

  • Ensure compliance with HSSE barriers

  • Monitor and feedback on the maintenance effectiveness process and take corrective action if required

  • SAP administration of time sheets, service, purchase, and material orders

  • Lead in daily maintenance schedule execution, work order planning, reviews, daily updates

  • Liaise with/consults Operations, Technology, other Engineering and Procurement departments as part of the execution of jobs

  • Perform end of day schedule progress (percent complete, MCMP, TECO and approve actual hours)

  • Ensure completion of QA / QC and condition reports

  • Field presence and supervisor of maintenance contractor (craft productivity and quality of work) for effective and efficient execution

  • Manage the activities in the hard schedule, adopting small adjustments or deviations where necessary

  • Feedback jobs that roll-over into next week(s) to the scheduler

  • Identify risks for not achieving schedule and taking mitigating action, keeping maintenance team lead informed

  • Feedback to maintenance planning and scheduling

  • Timely request to operations for maintenance permitting

  • Perform shutdown management - planning, preparation & execution to achieve targets on duration, cost and safety

  • Execute plant changes (PCR) and minor projects (CRERs) meeting HSE requirements, budget and schedule.

  • Analyze and trouble-shoot mechanical problems.

  • Report on recurring problems/breakdowns

  • Update and maintain spare parts inventory

  • Involve in scheduled safety walkabout

  • Assess the risk of all day to day jobs that is carried out

  • Develop formal JOHAN with all relevant parties for jobs with medium and high risk

  • Full compliance with Safety Rules at all times to achieve Goal Zero

Requirements

  • Degree in mechanical engineering

  • Minimum of 5-7 years engineering/maintenance of rotating & static equipment field experience in the oil or petrochemical plants.

  • Good understanding of the various international mechanical engineering standards.

  • Able to work independently and yet participate as a member of a multidiscipline team.

  • Troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of Total Flange Assurance, lifting supervision, Temporary Repair Management (static equipment & piping) and spading & blinding requirements for positive isolation.

  • Able to conduct planning, scheduling and execution work for maintenance activities

  • Experience in contractor management and able to conduct maintenance coordination work
