Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:

CACI has an immediate opening for an Information Assurance (IA) Professional to support a Government client. The candidate will train agency personnel in all aspects of the Assessment and Authorization process, Security Control Assessment, Information Systems Engineering, Delegated Authorizing Official, Delegated Authorizing Official Representative, and the Program Management as being implemented by ICD 503 and NIST SP 800-37. The training will enable the agency staff to perform duties necessary for assessment and authorization.

The IA professional will provide develop a Training Plan on assessment and authorization training for Government client review and approval that includes a proposed training schedule for existing and new personnel as assigned. Conduct ISO, Data Transfer/Removable Media User, and ICD 503 training and information assurance to business unit representatives and developers. Provide subject matter expertise for IA training content for Agency-wide security awareness training as well as IA-specific training as required by the Agency. Assist with instructing personnel in the specifics of the assessment and authorization package based on the life cycle approach to risk management of IT systems. Provide training scenarios and case studies for personnel to practice applying the instructions to verify understanding of concepts and processes. Assist with developing an assessment plan to understand the current knowledge and skills for personnel assigned roles prior to and after completion of training. Assist with designing training curriculum and course content with support from Agency College. Serve as an internal consultant and advisor in own area of expertise (e.g., technical, copyright, print media, electronic media, and cartography). Plan non-classroom education techniques and formats (e.g., video courses, personal coaching, and web-based courses). Write instructional materials to provide detailed guidance to relevant portion of the workforce.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and 10+ years of related experience.

  • Must have current TS/SCI and able to pass polygraph with 60 days of hire

  • Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-53A, ICD 503, FISMA, DCID 6/3, relationships between IC and DoD policies for assessment and authorization

  • Skill in developing and executing technical training programs and curricula

  • Skill in identifying gaps in technical capabilities, talking to others to convey information effectively, in presenting information orally or verbally in a manner appropriate to the audience

  • Ability to develop curriculum that speaks to the topic at the appropriate level for the target audience

  • Experience in preparing student materials (workbooks, handouts, background material and training aids)

  • Experience teaching in government/commercial/public sector

  • Experience in presenting technical information

  • Must obtain appropriate 8570 Certification within 90 days of hire and maintain certification throughout employment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of multiple cognitive domains and appropriate tools and methods for learning in each domain

  • Experience in the development and presentation of information systems security education and training programs

  • Experience using XACTA

  • Developed technical documentation and white papers

  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies and virtual machine development and maintenance

  • Knowledge of emerging security issues, risks, and vulnerabilities

  • Skill in developing and executing technical training programs and curricula

  • Skill in identifying gaps in technical capabilities and in talking to others to convey information effectively

  • Experience within the Intelligence Community

  • Certified 8570 IAM or IAT level 3
