Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager on our contract in Springfield, VA. This position will be responsible for Human Resources actions on one or more government contracts. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Establish and administer policies and procedures for the HR area.

  • Assign work, train and manage employee performance of the work unit.

  • Research new human resource practices for application to assigned HR area.

  • Investigate and provide recommendations for employee relations issues.

  • Provide leadership for project(s) in Labor Relations, including grievance processing, mediations, arbitration, and CBA negotiation.

  • Develop, implement and monitor results of the Company's employment, placement, and affirmative action programs.

  • Investigate, compile and submit required AAP/EEO reports.

  • Develop, implement and administer relocation programs.

  • Develop, implement and monitor results of the Company's and client training program. Establish goals and objectives for these programs.

  • Deliver training in person or media formats.

  • Implement company efforts to promote workforce diversity.

  • Implement processes for internal communication of HR related information.

  • Prepare position descriptions. Review industry standards and applicability to internal positions.

  • Conduct job evaluations and coordinate approval process.

  • Monitor performance management system for compliance with Company policy and prepare reports to identify rating distributions. Recommend adjustments to the compensation system (i.e., salary range adjustments, incentive programs, etc.)

  • Design incentive and reward programs, where appropriate.

  • Implement upgrades and enhancements to the HRIS.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources and at least 7 years of job related experience or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

  • Position may require travel.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in private sector Labor Relations and supporting employees on SCA and Union strongly preferred.

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance strongly preferred.
