CACI International Logistics Manager in Springfield, Virginia
Our Team has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Senior Logistics Manager supporting an enterprise-scale Intelligence Community (IC) program. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of logistics best practices and procedures, warehouse maintenance and accountability, and Government policies. The candidate must be a proven leader with material procurements, logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment, operating with short lead times, and rapidly chaining requirements. Knowledge of specific processes associated with logistics management, including receiving, tracking, preparing, and documenting assets as they arrive at or are removed from receiving area, storage area and facility. Maintain compliance with CM and QA standards as well as ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
Focus will be on overall Logistics Management and Warehouse Accountability.
Responsible for all Logistics, Supply Chain and Warehouse functions, processes and procedures.
Hands on with materials and warehouse management.
Establish logistics policies and procedures at the local level.
Establish and maintain written procedures for the proper control of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Follow all Customer processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.
Ensure the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes.
Accountable for maintaining all related documentation (both hardcopy and computer records).
Build and maintain close relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives.
Control the efficient flow of goods from vendor to customer.
Ensure that customer service and time objectives are achieved.
Develop and implement processes and procedures for Procurement, Logistics and Asset Management.
Manage assets and warehouse.
Manage Return to Manufacturer Authorization (RMA) for equipment under warranty.
Manage annual equipment maintenance agreements.
Periodic local travel to customer sites.
Occasional short-duration travel may be required to support this position.
10+ years experience in preparation of various Acquisition Logistic Support documents, PCA support, field support, sparing, shipping, and life cycle support
3+ years experience with the resolution of identified acquisition logistic issues and concerns
2+ years related asset / configuration management experience supporting Network and Transport technologies for large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment
Strong logistics/asset management background, with experience with government program asset logistics and regulations, providing a full spectrum of IT asset/logistics management support to include asset management tools and life cycle data administration and warranty/maintenance
Ability to function with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, changing environment
Excellent communication skills in English in written and spoken form.
Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance.
Experience in writing Acquisition Logistic Support Plans (ALSPs) to detail field and life cycle support logistic requirements.
Extensive working knowledge of Government Property Control/Procurement Procedures.
Experience in GFE accountability procedures and documentation.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely in English.
Proficiency using Asset databases and Microsoft Excel.
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong communication skills and work-ethic, self-starter.
Dependable, flexible, and detailed oriented.
Computer literacy and strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Project).
Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience, with one to two years supervisory/management experience.
- Current TS/SCI with ability to obtain a Polygraph
Above average understanding of Microsoft Office tool suite
Understanding of all elements of PMBOK and IT delivery life cycles, including planning, development, requirements management, CM, quality assurance, and release management
Experience working on unusually complicated problems and providing solutions that are highly creative and ingenious, exhibiting ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness
Ability to act independently to expose and resolve problems
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
