CACI International Toponomyst Journeyman in Springfield, Virginia
Geospatial Intelligence Analysts exploit imagery, imagery products (including Advanced Geospatial Intelligence) and geographic products and data to create intelligence solutions for the Warfighter and senior government officials.
Supports intelligence professionals, in areas such as all-source, collections, cyber, homeland, HUMINT, in conducting research and analysis to support ongoing projects for clients. Works with experienced intelligence professionals to conduct and analysis in support of the US Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. Assesses current and emerging threats, conducts link and relationship analysis, researches future outcomes, and provides business analysis and development support. Works as an apprentice on a series of training and development opportunities with experienced professionals in the intelligence field to prepare for future developments in areas of national importance.
Minimum proficiency of Level 2 for reading and defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Proficiency Levels or the equivalent that meets or exceeds the ILR skill Level 2.
Basic knowledge of geography, cartography, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS):
Basic Map reading skills
Skills, knowledge and understanding of GIS applications/geospatial analysis
Basic knowledge of research gathering:
Internet search tools
Library functions (query, ordering, etc.)
Basic familiarity with computer operations to include knowledge of data retrieval/storage and generating reports. Knowledge of computer programs: Common office software i.e., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and e-mail.
Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 3-10 Years’ experience
TS/SCI, CI Poly or willing to consent
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required. May spend a lot of time standing due to laboratory conditions.
