Summary:TheGeospatial Analyst –Apprenticeis an entry level, developmental position. The Analyst will be trained in the integration of Geospatial Information Systems and data within the organization. Position may require shift work.

  • Work of an apprentice will necessitate learning and oversight from a skilled person of a higher level.

  • Work will be scrutinized by senior personnel-government and/or contractor.

  • Analyst will learn to translate GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for GEOINT databases and apply special techniques to extract additional intelligence from geospatial products

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • High school diploma

  • 3 years of experience.

  • TS/SCI

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated MS Word, PowerPoint, database entry and graphic design principles skills

  • Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry

  • Ability to read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems
