Summary:TheGeospatial Analyst – Journeymantranslates GEOINT requirements into appropriate requests for GEOINT databases and applies special techniques to extract additional intelligence from geospatial products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)

  • Analyze geospatial data and develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products

  • Identify, analyze, order, and assemble source materials for a government customer

  • Create custom geospatial graphics

  • Analyze numerous imagery sources to include NTM, DPPDB

  • Utilize multiple GIS systems and tools

  • Utilize a multi-INT approach to research various sources

  • Maintain logs of all work accomplishments

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Experience of 3 years. A bachelor’s degree in a field related to the support services may count for up to four years of this experience. Experience to include:

  • Digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry

  • ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, RemoteView, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyze geospatial data

  • TS/SCI Clearance required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate MS Word, PowerPoint, database entry and graphic design principles skills

  • Expertise in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image processing, or regional expertise is also desirable

  • Demonstrate knowledge of commercial imagery, products, processes and sensors

  • Demonstrate customer support skills

  • Demonstrate understanding of intelligence issues, military affairs, and use Geospatial Information Systems (GIS)

  • Ability to read and understand intelligence issues, military affairs, and use GIS to develop Geospatial Intelligence reports and products to solve problems

  • Must have the ability to work shift work as required
