HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Staff Accountant DIVISION in St Louis, Missouri

Responsibilities: 1. Computes and prepares data and supporting schedules for journal entries.

  1. Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations.

  2. Prepare Bank account reconciliations.

  3. Enter daily cash receipts.

  4. Balance inter-company accounts daily.

  5. Maintains Fixed Asset sub-ledger and assists with property tax returns.

  6. Assembles monthly financial booklets and month end close binders.

  7. Reviews coding of accounts payable vouchers and act as backup to AP clerk.

  8. Assists with special projects upon request.

    1. Assists with the preparation of financial analysis, reports and taxes as needed.

    2. Assists with other types of financial reporting.



    • Knowledge: Knowledge of basic accounting principles, practices and theories. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a combination of formal Accounting training and relevant experience.

    • Experience: At least one year of experience as an Accountant or equivalent. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with QuickBooks, Depreciation Software and large ERP a plus.

    • Skills/Aptitudes: Demonstrated interpersonal and analytical skills. Capable of meeting deadlines for multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated problem solving and a strong attention to detail. Confidentiality.
