Formulate and guide the implementation of short- and long-term commercial objectives and strategies for Global Export and Developing Regions, facilitate alignment with the European export organization’s strategy and structure, and measure performance consistently to ensure performance towards the goals.
Directly responsible for U.S. Global Export Customer Service and Supply Chain with functional leadership support, and optimizing growth and productivity across and within the functions.
Drive large account relationships by understanding customer life cycle and contract timeframes / service expectations.
Develop regular cadence of coordination and alignment with RSD APAC leader and RSD Europe export leaders to manage end-to-end profitable growth and meet customer needs.
Maintain awareness of and exercise sound business judgment in such areas as market conditions, competitive activities, general economic activities and related matters.
Accountable for all account development activities (across the business) including account strategy execution and management, ongoing communication of value proposition and value-added programs and services, resource coordination, price management, initiation of RFP responses, where applicable, and achievement of forecasted profitable growth.
Coordinate needs and opportunity assessments across regions for multi-region customers.
Measure customer satisfaction and develop strategies to improve.
Coordinate and communicate business development initiatives and strategies.
Maintain regulatory and compliance standards through good business practices and partnership with the internal trade compliance organization.
Provide guidance / support to direct reports and sales reps on expectations for targeting and servicing accounts.
Drive market share improvement and identify standard marketing programs/promotions relevant to customers.
Evaluate customer performance for contract compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in business, science or other relevant degree, as well as a High School Diploma or GED.
10+ years of relevant work experience and a strong background in science and the specific industry segment.
Ability to maintain and grow senior level customer relationships across multiple areas like Sourcing, Production, Research, Materials Management.
Demonstrated and proven ability to formulate strategy and drive to tactical execution.
Strong financial acumen, including P&L management, analysis, negotiation, and project management skills.
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Well organized, with excellent time/project management skills and a solid business planning process.
