Mercer, one of the world’s premier professional service firms is looking to appoint a Finance Business Partner who can bring their commercial acumen and funds management experience to our Institutional Wealth business to provide financial acumen, commercial insights, and decision support to help the business with their ambitious growth plans.

In addition to your commerciality and funds management experience, you will be strong in stakeholder management with a strategic approach in offering financial advice to the business. You will be able to work autonomously, in a dynamic team within the broader multinational matrix environment and assess key business performance metrics and provide insights to enable the business to drive profitable growth.

About the Role You will be will be a part of our Financial Planning & Analysis team reporting jointly to the Pacific Finance Director and Institutional Wealth COO and contribute to the achievement of business and financial objectives by driving effective execution of plans and day-to-day business.

Responsibilities

Support the Institutional Wealth Business leader, COO and their leadership team, for all finance and commercial related matters, initiatives and strategies

Using Industry experience to pro-actively highlight ways to improve the profitability of the business

Establish and report on relevant KPI’s to identify leading and lagging indicators of business performance and provide meaningful insights

Pro-actively participate in Business projects/initiatives which could involve pricing, client profitability, acquisition/divestment opportunities

Manage the Reporting, Analysis and Commentary of monthly profit and loss of the business and provide monthly forecasting

Qualifications

Business relevant Degree

Minimum of ten years’ experience in a commercial/financial analysis role, with relevant experience in a Funds Management firm

Strong analytical skills and Advanced excel skills in financial modelling

Ability to utilize financial analysis capabilities to advise the business on achieving growth, productivity and profit goals
