As a Cyber Capabilities Helpdesk Administrator you will perform daily maintenance and support of numerous networks consisting of Open Source and Commercial Off the Shelf Software Applications.

Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve in a Helpdesk Administrator position on a team tasked with building and supporting DevOps environment for cyber-focused capabilities.
Provide front-line assistance to end-users regarding technical issues with accessing a Linux / Open Source application environment.
Provision and manage end user access to the application environment.
Provision computer desktops and laptops, including imaging, configuration, and physical deployment.
Perform daily system status checks and maintenance.
Assist with the development and maintenance of required artifacts – maintenance plans, SOPs, release notes, etc.
Regular interaction with client and other-vendor POCs.
Participate in team and client meetings to promote effective project communications – daily stand-ups, release planning sessions, user demos and test events.
Track software license utilization and renewals.
Track hardware/software support contract renewals.
Support asset tracking requirements.
Function well in a small team environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Familiarity with a Microsoft Active Directory and Linux environment.
Knowledge and understanding of virtualization technology fundamentals.
Ability to serve as member of a small but robust technical team
Capable of working with / supporting end users with varying levels of technical competence.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong, detail-oriented analytical and critical thinking skills.
The ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to chest height, then lower it to the ground again, is required.
The ability to routinely kneel/crawl on the floor to cable/de-cable computers underneath desks is required.
US Citizenship required.
- Red Hat, Microsoft, and other relevant certifications strongly desired
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent
At times may require bending, kneeling, crawling & moving about in small spaces
