Position Title Roadway Design Engineer III

The Highways and Bridges Department within AECOM's Transportation group is actively seeking a Roadway Design Engineer III for immediate employment in the Tampa, Florida office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Primarily perform design and project delivery activities on highway projects including but not limited to development of horizontal and vertical geometry, traffic control design, typical sections, earthwork cross sections, and plans, specifications and estimate development
Leading the Roadway Design Team to a successful and sustainable level of backlog of work to support office utilization goals important to the company’s success
Lead design and plan production efforts while maintaining high quality, meeting schedules and staying on budget
Lead and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers in engineering design and analysis
Microstation Computer Drawing Design
Will be serving as point of contact between client and team
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of working experience in Civil Roadway Design Engineering
Florida PE Certificate
Successful Leadership experience with a team of at least 3
Knowledge of MIcrostation, AutoCADD, Civil 3D and Advane Geopak
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
InRoads and GeoPak/InRoads cross sections experience
FDOT Design Experience
Excellent Technical Writing Skills
A clear understanding of the Florida state and municipal agencies and proven relationships with the decision makers in those organizations
3-D Modeling Experience
