McKesson’s highly regarded Corporate Legal Department is seeking an attorney to provide contracting legal support for the Provider Solutions portion of McKesson Specialty Health’s business.
Primary responsibility will be providing legal support for customer facing contracts, customer oriented service agreements and other customer facing commercial arrangements. In addition, the attorney will provide a wide array of counseling and support to address the needs of McKesson Specialty Health, such as transaction development, operational efficiencies of internal contracting processes, legal risk mitigation, customer relationship management and retention, and strategic initiatives and service offerings. As a critical contributor to McKesson Specialty Health’s contracting process, the attorney will have frequent interactions with internal stakeholders across multiple function groups, such as sales, finance, and distribution operations. In addition, the attorney will be required to interact extensively with regulatory and compliance functions to ensure contractual arrangements are compliant and appropriately documented.
- Six (6) years of experience, including two (2) years ofexperience with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Well-developed commercial contract drafting andnegotiation skills.
In-depth legal knowledge that allows forexpeditious problem identification and resolution
Ability to manage simultaneous projects in anefficient and timely manner associated with strong time management and mattermanagement skills
Outstanding verbal and written communicationskills and attention to detail
Experience in the interpretation and applicationof complex statutory and regulatory standards to commercial transactions
Acumen dealing with risk management andorganizational savvy
Strong and adaptable interpersonal skills withan ability to provide sound, clear legal advice to clients
Aptitude to work well with a larger team inseeking efficiencies for legal support
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Experience with health care and the associatedlegal and regulatory environment is strongly preferred
Blend of law firm and in-house experience ispreferred
JurisDoctor degree with excellent academic credentials. Admission and good standing to practice law inone or more US jurisdictions is required.
