McKesson Specialty Pharmacy Solutions (MSPS) includes Biologics, Inc. and Oncology Rx Care Advantage, LP. Biologics, Inc. is an oncology pharmacy services company that empowers healthcare providers, payers and biopharma to optimize cancer care for the best possible outcomes – clinical, financial and emotional. Unifying fragmented healthcare services, Biologics brings efficiency and humanity to oncology care management by focusing on the patient’s best interest as the surest path to managing cost and risk. Oncology Rx Care Advantage, LP focuses on providing non-commercial specialty pharmacy services as the Center of Excellence for McKesson’s Patient Assistance Pharmacy (PAP) – supporting the underinsured and uninsured patient populations.

Current Need

McKesson’s Law Department is seeking an attorney to provide contracting and legal support for McKesson Specialty Health’s fast-paced and dynamic McKesson Specialty Pharmacy Solutions business. This position can be located in Scottsdale, AZ., The Woodlands, TX., or Atlanta (NDH), GA.

Position Description

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing regulatory advice and counsel formultiple specialty pharmacies (licensed throughout the US) on a wide range oftopics, including various State pharmacy-related and Federal and statehealthcare laws

  • Contract drafting, revision, strategy andnegotiation

  • Working closely with other lawyers andparalegals, and compliance colleagues who provide cross-functional supportservices for McKessonSpecialty Pharmacy Solutions.

  • Frequent interactions with senior segmentbusiness leaders, and other internal stakeholders across functionalgroups.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years of experience providing legal counsel, at least 5 yearspracticing pharmacy law (2 years experience in specialty pharmacy stronglypreferred)

Critical Skills

  • Solid experience with US state pharmacyregulations and their application to specialty pharmacy

  • Excellent commercial contract drafting andnegotiation skills

  • Experience with risk mitigation in aregulatory environment

  • Team player with excellent interpersonalskills and the ability to provide sound, clear and succinct legal advice tosenior executives and other business clients

  • Outstanding verbal and written communicationskills and high attention to detail

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects andrespond to competing business demands in a pragmatic, diplomatic and capablefashion

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with additional healthcare laws andregulations

  • Pharmaceutical manufacturer contractingexperience is preferred

Education

  • Juris Doctor Degree withexcellent academic credentials.

  • Member of state bar in goodstanding.
