IBM SAP Project Delivery Manager in Toronto, Canada

Our commitment to client success, technical expertise and best practices know-how earned us the SAP Canada Award of Excellence for customer satisfaction in every year it's been awarded.The SAP Project Delivery Manager is responsible for managing sub-projects within a complex program (or multiple smaller projects concurrently) to ensure the successful delivery of various phases of the implementation plan. This position requires strong SAP product knowledge in the S/4 digital core, as well as cloud solutions (for example SuccessFactors, Ariba, Hybris, Concur) as well as strong managerial and communication skills. The successful candidate has delivery experience in English and French as a plus. Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the client to confirm business requirements

  • Responsible for organizing and leading a cross-functional team in development of integrated business processes, implementing project deliverables, with an emphasis on quality, productivity, and consistency

  • Responsible for providing technical direction and control of project personnel and for providing a framework for project planning, communications, reporting, procedural and contractual activity

  • Developing work plans, managing deadlines and coordination of project team and sub-team activities

  • Estimating project skill requirements, working with deployment to identify appropriate resources an managing their integration into the team

  • Defining and agreeing on deliverables and milestones

  • Setting and controlling scope

  • Communicating status and vision to client management and stakeholders

  • Overall team management, including regular evaluations

  • Budget management

  • Risk and Issues management

  • Min of 8 years of experience required in managing SAP projects, with a preference for S/4 and SAP cloud-based solutions as part of this experience set.

  • Working knowledge of current SAP Project Management methodologies including the SAP Activate methodology (AGILE)

  • Strong process and business acumen.

  • Experience in complex multi-year program management

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects/workstreams

  • Project leadership experience on SAP implementation with Financials, Human Capital Management, Order to Delivery, Plant Maintenance and/or Materials Management (Preparation, Design/Blueprint, Build/Realization, Final Prep/Testing/Cutover, Go-live and Support, Sustainment)

  • Demonstrated client management and relationship management skills

  • Ability to work closely with Process Owners and other key stakeholders to communicate progres
