Comcast Senior Manager, Labor Relations in Trevose, Pennsylvania

Responsible for planning and managing labor relations activities. In partnership with the National Contract Negotiator and the Regional Leadership Team develops long-range contract negotiation strategies. Serves as subject matter expert and provides guidance to employees as required in all labor and employee relations matters. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies, assists in development, and meeting of, departmental budgets.

Core Responsibilities

  • Investigates and resolves grievances between grieving workers/union and the Company.
  • Manages the Region's Labor Relations function including but not limited to long-term strategy, planning and research.- Interfaces with union officials on all labor issues.

  • Manages the development, administration, and maintenance of Labor Relations communications, contract interpretation, and reference manuals regarding contract administration.

  • Partners with HR and business leaders to implement proactive and positiveEmployee and Labor Relations strategies and initiatives that drive business objectives.

  • Administers, coordinates, and makes recommendations on progressive discipline issues.

  • Prepares reports, using records of actions taken concerning grievances, discipline,arbitration, and related labor relations activities to identify problem areas.

  • General Employee Relations responsibilities/experience.
  • Manages tracking and processing of Open Door and Comcast Listens complaints.Ensures regional stakeholders are responding in a timely and thorough manner. Reviews complaints through Ethics Points and approves for next level review.

  • Conducts field investigations into escalated Employee Relations issues.

  • Acts as a CredoSpeak survey project lead. Works with each business group's CredoSpeak Action teams.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

  • Regular, consistent attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
