Position Title Planner/Scheduler

Kazakhstan - Almaty


Job Summary

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop project programmes to track the progress. Prepare an integrated Project Master Programme together with Project Manager, Approvals Manager, Construction Manager and Design Managers.

  • Review project design documentation and any other relevant data to understand the project requirements which may affect the planning process.

  • Establish a sound working and professional relationship with other members of the Team

  • Facilitate in acquisition of programme data, review and update

  • Identify concerns in planning/scheduling and communicate remedial actions and forecasts

  • Produce track records for scheduling & managing work to all disciplines. Monitor the Project Master Programme and report on a weekly/monthly basis (Planned vs. Achieved)

  • Prepare progress report for the monthly report

  • Analyse the construction programmes of the General Contractor/Package Contractors with respect to the Project Master Programme, and make recommendations where necessary;

  • Monitor the construction programmes of the General Contractor/Package Contractors together with Construction Manager and highlight problem areas which may adversely affect the progress;

  • Investigate and identify the impact of long lead delivery items on Master Programme.

  • Liaise closely with the other team members to identify the effects of change orders on the package programmes and the Project Master Programme;

  • Assist in preparation and assembly of the tender documentation in relation to timing and sequence of works.

  • Exchange information with the Design Management team to identify the effects of the changes of deadlines of design deliverables on the Project Master Programme;

  • Liaise with the Commercial Manager and amend the tender actions in the Project Master Programme.

  • Liaise with Design Management team and Approvals Manager to produce an approvals programme and monitor it as appropriate.

  • Support the Commercial/Procurement Manager in tender preparation.

  • Analyze and evaluate the programmes submitted by the bidders in the tendering process.

  • Attend meetings as required and produce minutes of meeting for circulation.

  • Visit the site regularly to track the physical progress.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Bachelor or Master's degree

  • Fluent Russian and English speaker

  • Experience on similar position at least 5 years

  • Perfect knowledge of local Regulations and Norms

  • Customer focus (both internal and external)

  • Fluent Russian and English speaker

  • Excellent managerial skills (planning, organizing, controlling);

  • Ability to work without close supervision in a high pressure environment;

  • High level of personal responsibility and initiative;

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills;

  • Systems orientated/Goal driven;

  • Knowledge of the following software:

  • MS office/MS Visio/MS PowerPoint

  • AutoCad

  • MS Project, Primavera

  • Experience of working in difficult operating environments

  • Perfect knowledge of local Regulations and Norms
