Combined Insurance Ceded Reinsurance Analyst in United States

§ Responsible for supporting buyers in multiple profit center reinsurance placements § W or k with Ceded Reinsurance Buyers and Business Units to create and develop the structure and placement strategy along with options and alternatives for senior management review § G a thering and preparing exposure data for assigned client projects § Assessing data quality and assumptions for catastrophe and risk modeling § Analyzing changes in exposure and the associated impact of catastrophe model results § Analyzing how the distribution of results and relevant risk measures change due to the application of various proposed reinsurance alternatives § Understanding general catastrophe modeling techniques and peril-specific modeling methodologies including specific inputs, outputs and processing components for models § Consulting with the business unit leaders to help assess and manage catastrophe risk through the use and interpretation of modeling results § Developing and communicating, internally and externally as necessary Chubb’s marketing theme, including our position on exposure change, our view of model changes and our technical support for our price guidance. § Building an understanding of actual loss history relative to the models § Preparing reinsurance presentations for senior management § Ensuring that treaty purchases are consistent with corporate net retention strategy § M ain taining reinsurance contract files and communicates treaty information § Ensuring that contracts meet minimum requirements § Assisting in preparation of reinsurance proposals

Q U A LIFICATIONS § Superior analytical, research and problem-solving skills § Strong mathematical / financial aptitude § Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years of equivalent experience, with preferable emphasis in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or actuarial sciences § Strong computer application skills – specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Access § Knowledge of statistical software is a plus § W or k i n g knowledge of catastrophe modeling software products § An independent worker as well as a good team player who is resourceful and takes initiative § E x celle n t interpersonal and communication skills in order to successfully communicate the specifics of the reinsurance plans § Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical di s cu s s i ons / p resentations § Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment § Strong oral and written communications skills
