TITLE: Senior Financial Systems Analyst (Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC – Hoboken, NJ)

DUTIES: Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financialposition. Collect, compile,verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reportsand accounting statements so thatsenior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repaymentschedules, regulatory reportsand filings. Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financialreports, and manage their financialresponsibilities. Perform analytical accounting functionsand accounting operational analysis to produce monthly reports, financial forecasting, monthly project forecasts, executive summary updates, executive and management reporting, and on-going strategic analysis of IT driven initiatives. Utilize year-to-date and historical trend analysis to establish baseline funding needs to prepare annual operating budget for futureyears. Gather accounting and financial data, and perform financial analysis to maintain the financial integrity of IT operational activities and approved discretionary projects or programs. Provide analysis and recommendations to IT Chief Administration Officer to help drive senior executive leadership decisions in shaping the financial future state of IT. Lead actionable analysis and provide and explain monthly financial reports to senior IT and finance leadership. Create executivelevel financial presentations including executive summary and financial and project dashboards for senior IT leadership. Create, maintainand execute financial policies and processes. Executepurchase orders, perform invoice coding and processing, and monthend account reconciliation. Analyzesalary impacts and contractor time charges to calculate month end accruals against projects.Update, review and utilize hardware and software expense database and external spends database to assess and book capitalized components each month. Produce monthly project profit and loss reports, month end IT operations reports,and cost forecasts. Performheadcount reporting and processing. Track spending, budgeting, forecasting and long range financial planning.Monitor and report costingfor projects, identifygaps and issues for senior IT leadership, and make recommendations regarding cost tracking. Provide financial guidance to the operational team for potentialprocess improvement and to ensure alignment with IT Program strategy.Prepare monthly consolidated Flash. Analyze reportedresults from operations for variances in budget and growth over prior year. Prepare quarterly consolidated shareholder results, consolidated balance sheet, and financial analysis schedules. Perform monthlyrevenue, reporting, and variances analysis. Maintainbalance sheet supporting information.
