CACI International Data Scientist, Lead in Washington, District Of Columbia
CACI, National Security Solutions has an immediate opportunity for a Lead Data Scientist to provide cutting edge services within the Intelligence Community.
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for data analytics support, from understanding and evaluating customer requirements to development of advanced data analytics. You will need to keep current on industry direction, trends, and future capabilities with respect to data analysis.
You will provide expertise for support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software/hardware applications, with respect to data analysis architecture. You will direct and/or participate in all phases of risk management assessment and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection. The Data Scientist will work with the Project Manager to ensure quality of deliverables meets customer expectations.
Position requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret / SCI with DHS EOD
Working on a project team, analyzes factors and components of systems and processes to manage interrelationships and facilitate change. Detects inefficiencies or conflicts in systems and processes and helps to identify effective improvements. Facilitates communications between customers, SME's and Technical staff. Participates in various testing functions (i. e. string and acceptance tests) to verify that results are correct.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Typically requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent and 7-9 years related experience.
A Computer Science or similar technical discipline or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience is preffered.
Data ETL/ELT tools such as Apache NiFi, Apache Sqoop, Apache Flume and MapReduce
Distributed Big Data Store such as Apache HBase, Apache Accumulo, Apache Mahout, or Apache Spark
Data Analysis leveraging languages such as Python, Java, or R Strong experience working successfully in a collaborative environment
PhD in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
Experience prototyping in AWS.
Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
