This position involves work with different aspects of the Veterans Affairs Enterprise Architecture (VA EA), including tasks such as:
Assisting in the capture and entry of enterprise business content into the VEAR, including business functions models and business process models (BPMs)
Capturing data using Business Process Modeling Notation v2 (BPMNv2)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting, or related scientific or technical discipline. 5 years of experience. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
Typically requires a BA/BS degree and 5-7 years of applicable experience.
A Process Modeler must have experience in the creation and building of application models for business operation processes. A process modeler must be able to translate specified modeling requirements to realizations using modeling tools, sub-system simulation using boundary conditions, and closed loop control methods. Must be able to integrate the process models with sub-system control code to generate real time simulation. Must also be able to document model configuration & model validation, principles of operation, and application guidelines.
