Security Administrator/Facility Security Officer (FSO) - Administrative Management Section
Civil Rights Division Working with CACI to assist the mission of the US Department of Justice, Administrative Management Section.
Duties and RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage adjudication program, including all clearances and PIV badge access cards.
Act as primary security liaison with multiple departments and agencies.
Creating JSTARS clearance memos for completed background checks, hired employees and volunteers.
Manage support for all security functions following the guidelines of the Civil Rights Division and the applicable government directives.
Working with HR to give and receive updates on background checks.
Communicating with applicants regarding issue resolutions.
Processing contractors for onboarding.
Processing name change requests.
Working with contracting managers to obtain missing elements from contractor packages.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Excellent customer service and ability to manage an incredible and diverse workload.
Process personnel through the security employment process.
Evaluate candidate background documents and adjudicate adverse information.
Coordinate prescreen interviews, credit checks, and fingerprints.
Initiate, review and submit clearance applications for employee background investigations.
Supervise a team of contractor employees to maintain operation of program.
Develop and implement security policies and procedures in coordination with government agencies and company management.
Conduct security briefings, education, and training to department and corporate staff.
Review proposals and contracts for security requirements and advise program managers appropriately.
Maintain security databases for internal and external clients.
Manage multiple employee security and personnel files.
Generate weekly and monthly security status reports identifying personnel security status for management and the government.
Investigate and submit security incident reports.
Requires 5-10 years’ experience in Security Administrationor experience as an Industrial Security Facilities Manager.
Secret or Top Secret clearance strongly preferred.
An equivalent level of legal or project management training may be substituted with the approval of the COTR.
At least two years’ experience processing background checks required; administrative management experience very helpful.
Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
