Job Description:

The System Engineer is responsible for a broad range of Windows server systems, security administration, and operations in a Microsoft Windows physical and virtual environment.


  • Ensure server performance and maintain applications on servers, perform advanced server support functions, such as tier 2 and tier 3 problem resolutions

  • Create scripts to automate system administration tasks

  • Establish and maintain user accounts, assigns file permissions and establish password and account policies.

  • Apply OS/application patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/Add new services as necessary.

  • Identify and articulate new technology, design methodology and best practices

  • Design and develop initial prototypes/proofs of concept and validate them for technical design and performance

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance REQUIRED!\

  • 6 - 8 Years of experience as an expert Windows Server Administration with Active Directory design

  • 3 - 4 Years of experience in script creation and maintenance using PowerShell

  • Experience with role based authentication and Active Directory security.

  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, SQL administration, Exchange, Lync, SharePoint, SCCM and file server migrations

  • Security Design and Administration

  • Operating in a secure environment

  • Applying and deploying security controls to the Windows Operating System

  • Thorough understanding of installation, testing methodologies and troubleshooting techniques

  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • MCSA/MCSE Certification

  • Microsoft Office 365 and Azure

  • DR and COOP design and support experience

  • VMware VSphere experience


Typically requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 7 to 9 years of related experience. Requires a Top Secret clearance.


Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face to face. Some travel may be required.
