Job Description:


Candidate will act as team lead for the Systems Engineering team.The Lead Systems Engineer position is Responsible for a broad range of Windows server systems, security administration, and operations in a Microsoft Windows physical and virtual environment. The Lead Systems Engineer position also requires providing Tier 3 engineering support of the current OS platforms as items are escalated from Tier 2 for subject matter expert consultation. The Systems Engineer also functions as the technical liaison between the customer POC and product vendors to ensure the proper integration of projects. The candidate will provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations and develop system architecture and system design documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of desktop support experience (configuration and management)

  • Hands-on experience in VMware virtualization across-platforms

  • Knowledge of Group Policy design, creation, and management

  • Expertise with managing DHCP, DNS, and Domain Controllers

  • Knowledge of Systems Center Configuration Manager

  • Professional demeanor, strong customer relations skills

  • Recent and relevant hands-on experience with the administration of database (MS SQL/Oracle) backups and restores

  • Ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Aptitude for understanding and troubleshooting technical problems

  • Understanding PC hardware and connectivity components

  • Strong knowledge of Windows 8/10

  • Strong Microsoft Office 2010/2013 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) skills

  • Intermediate knowledge of LAN/WAN networking

  • Advanced Microsoft Certification (MCITP / MCTS / MCSE)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of VMWare View / VSphere / ThinAPP / Workstation

  • Knowledge of application virtualization with Microsoft App-V / VMWare ThinApp

  • Knowledge of Windows Management Instrumentation

  • Knowledge of scripting including Visual Basic and Windows PowerShell

  • Knowledge of VMWare View

  • ITIL v3 Foundations certified


Typically requires Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and 10-12 years of related experience.
