POSITION SUMMARY

Production designer with strong technical ability to handle large volume of work brought in from external agencies. This production design role will focus on efficiently creating marketing communications both print and digital and fulfilling the promise of creating documents that are accessible to people using assistive technology to access Aetna communications.

Fundamental Components:

Production designer with strong technical ability to efficiently create and release digital and print marketing communications. Designer will have a strong understanding of WCAG 2.0 (international accessibility standard) standards to create accessible (PDF/UA) documents. Designer has a passion for finding new ways of increasing efficiencies in the design process.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

Adobe InDesign power user. Expert user of Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Pro. Knows how to create and test accessible documents (PDF/UA) , some knowledge of "508 compliance or document accessibility"Demonstrated knowledge of design principles: layout, color theory and typographyExperience in designing while following brand standards for a consistent brand experience

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
