Our Opportunity:

Reporting to the Managing Director of Data, Infrastructure and Reporting, you will be responsible for managing application needs as it relates to business requests and enhancements of our Business Continuity tool. You will also serve in a business analyst capacity in the implementation and design of strategic projects relating to Business Continuity infrastructure and process. Additionally, you will work with different members of the Corporate Operational Risk team as well as with other departments as necessary, to ensure risk-related projects and efforts are implemented in a manner that adds value while demonstrating superb subject matter expertise on the structure and process relating to Business Continuity data. Finally, you will work to support ad-hoc needs of the department, including but not limited to building reports in tools such as Crystal, Tableau.

What you’ll do:

Partner with the Business Continuity team to drive strategic initiatives by providing an advance understanding of current data, infrastructure and reporting constructs within Business Continuity to the project team. You will often work in a more tactical manner to advance these initiatives. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Data Acquisition projects, where data needs to be gathered and analyzed either through systems or by reaching out to different subject matter experts to acquire data that does not exist in Operational Risk infrastructure;

  • System Design projects, where the department works to add to existing infrastructure in order to accommodate or enhance new or existing processes;

  • Reporting and Analysis projects, where knowledge can be derived of the data and detections of anomalies can be achieved through developing of processes and visualizations.

  • Work with Business Continuity team to meet current obligations. This may include but is not limited to:

  • Maintain the application where data is stored and troubleshoot any issues that may arise

  • Provide data on a routine or ad-hoc basis

  • Work with Corporate Operational Risk – Data, Infrastructure and Reporting team to document processes related to all aspects of the business continuity platform for back-up purposes

  • Work with Corporate Operational Risk – Data, Infrastructure and Reporting team to assist in needs that may arise due to the changing nature of the business

What you have:

Business Competencies:

  • 3+ years experience in a role where one was a key member of a project team;

  • Independent judgment with strong analytical skills;

  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability in communicating with different business partners;

  • Experience in an environment where demands and methods are constantly changing;

  • Self-motivated and able to bring projects to conclusion;

  • Ability to manage and execute against multiple initiatives;

  • Experience in creating business requirements and process documentation;

  • Prior experience in an environment where your team is in a different location;

Technical Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel skills including Visual Basic;

  • Advance SQL experience including T-SQL;

  • Understanding of a relational data model and experience in data extraction across multiple related objects/tables;

  • Prior experience with report development in tools such as Tableau or Crystal Reports;
