Bank of America Testing Specialist (Transaction Compliance Test Script Development) in Westlake Village, California
Enterprise Independent Testing Shared Services is seeking a Testing Specialist for testing development. Under the general supervision of the team manager, this individual will collaborate with Test Owners and the Test Execution Teams to design new tests and implement required changes to existing tests and the associated test scripts. Specific test development responsibilities of this Testing Specialist include:
Own and execute the end to end design of new and/or modified test plans and associated scripts, in collaboration with the Test Owner and Test Development Manager, ensuring compliance with enterprise testing standards and policies
Work with Data Sampling partners to ensure appropriate sampling requirements are incorporated in to the Test Plans
Partner with Test Development Manager and Test Owners to interact with Line of Business partners to facilitate test design
Maintain SOR tracking of test status per standards
Provide training to the test execution team on test process including changes and enhancements
Evaluate if pilot testing is required and participate in testing as needed
Participate in other phases of testing (intake, execution, reporting) to provide expertise and feedback on areas assigned
Participate in various ad-hoc projects as requested by management
The Testing Specialist , under supervision, conducts independent transactional and process testing on a team in support of needs identified by Compliance and Operational Risk Officers. A test is defined in the Independent Testing Enterprise Policy as an independent point-in-time examination of one or more processes, controls, policies and procedures or data sources utilized for managing risk to assess the effectiveness of the control environment. A test is focused on answering a specific objective and has a pre-defined pass/fail criteria. Compliance testing may include activities such as automated surveillance and transaction level testing and may be performed onsite.
The Testing Specialist is accountable for quality testing execution, reporting and analysis of results. This role may participate in test script development and test design. The Testing Specialist contributes to the identification of themes and trends at the front line unit, control function and enterprise level. This role is an individual contributor in the Test Execution function.
3-5 years experience with an internal audit, testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front line control role
Experience with Consumer related processes and compliance efforts
Demonstrated project management skills
Strong partnership and influencing skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self starter, organized, versatile, capable of performing work independently with minimal direction
Ability to think independently, solve problems, and develop solutions
Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with Senior management
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Strong team player
Minimum 5 years business and functional experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
