Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Project Coordinator for immediate employment for the Whitby, ON office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • Assists the Project Manager with planning and execution of project activities for multi-disciplinary building engineering design projects

  • Coordinates project work with design groups such as Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil

  • Plays an active role in records management, budget tracking, and scheduling

  • Prepares meeting minutes, reports, and other documents

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3+ years of related professional experience

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related documentation

  • Must have an understanding of fundamental building science

  • Ability to interpret technical subject matter such as engineering drawings and specifications

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; able to use e-mail, prepare word documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.

  • Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy; willingness to work with multiple different colleagues on a variety of initiatives

  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency

  • Outstanding oral communication, written and presentation skills

  • Strong organizational skills – ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Consultative, service-oriented mindset and collaborative problem-solving skills

  • Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively

  • EIT
