Sodexo Leisure has an exciting opening for a Sales Manager to grow our business at Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware .

The ideal candidate will have a strong catering sales background, experience with upscale events, and the ability to plan and coordinate multiple catering functions simultaneously. They will also have excellent client and customer service skills, be able to multi-task. Applicants should be detail-oriented and committed to the highest level of customer service.

The primary responsibilities of a Catering Sales Manager:

  • Solicit new catering customers through traditional and non-traditional sales techniques

  • Responding timely to inquiries, prospecting new business, repeat business

  • Achieving sales goals of 1.5M+ s annually

  • Generate revenue, establish new accounts, monitor booking space, book repeat business while keeping quality consistently high, conduct catering sales presentations and catering sales calls

  • Excellent multi-tasker and ability to work with culinary team to coordinate multiple events at a time and utilize a systems-based approach to meet each event’s time-lines/specifications and quality of products

  • Must be able to cultivate markets, prospect & develop relationships, immediately translating to sales results in addition to providing ongoing support to the sales team. Thorough knowledge of IACC, CMP pricing and Hotel related sales required as well as the ability to implement and train sales team in CMP sales strategies.

Position Summary

Directs internal and external sales and marketing at a client account. Manages and directs Unit Sales Representatives to meet sales and revenue objectives. Develops and implements sales strategies. May actively book or manage select clients. Researches and analyzes market trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of experience in sales or marketing
