Marsh & McLennan Mercer | Senior Pension Administrator in Winnipeg, Manitoba

The Senior Pension Administrator works in a team environment as part of Mercer’s pension administration Centre of Excellence. The successful candidate will be part of a team of consultants, analysts and administrators within Mercer Services to provide high quality administration service to a portfolio of clients, demonstrating outstanding and timely customer service in all dealings with client contacts. The Senior Pension Administrator is responsible for all tasks related to the pension administration of defined benefit pension plans for clients.

To fulfill this role, the Senior Pension Administrator will:

Plan with the client the calendar for deliverables; Set priorities and coordinate projects taking into account established deadlines; Be the client key contact; Interpret and apply the provisions of the plans and the various applicable laws; With the junior administrator, ensure pension benefit calculations and associated statements resulting from various events (termination of employment, retirement, death, divorce, etc.) are produced; Update client database; Produce annual member statements; Calculate pension adjustments (PA), pension adjustments reversals (PAR) and past service pension adjustments (PSPA); Prepare annual information returns; Verify calculations and statements produced by junior administrators; Execute complex tasks (e.g.: administration of flexible plans, executive plans, hybrid plans); Provide training and coaching to junior administrators; Suggest process and tool improvements with a view to enhance team efficiency.
