Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, motivated and talented Project Manager for immediate employment for the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • At a project level, provide clear guidance to designers and technical staff to meet client objectives

  • Write and coordinate winning proposals, attract new clients and retain current clients

  • Manage project scope, financial cost, control, and scheduling of projects

  • Meet with clients to review project requirements

  • Manage a project delivery team to produce fully coordinated and high quality deliverables such as working drawings and project specifications

  • Collaborate with AECOM management on preparation of project proposals

  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with project team and clients

  • Prepare design and contract documents, check documents, conduct construction reviews and provide contract administration throughout the duration of a project

  • Communicate with design and construction teams to provide information and help resolve problems

  • Oversee multiple active projects and be part of our marketing team in sourcing new work

  • Client communication, internal project team communication, consultant coordination, design development, drawing review and contract administration

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • A strong business acumen and experience managing multiple projects of various types and complexities

  • Proven experience leading a team thorough all phases of a project

  • Strong business acumen and project manager skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

  • Exceptional technical knowledge of building construction and the National Building Code

  • Ability to manage a number of projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work within a team environment

  • Ability to co-ordinate with a multi-disciplinary in-house consultant team

  • Ability to multi-task combined with strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel and Word), Outlook, Adobe

  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning

  • Must be dedicated to working hard with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately

  • Technical knowledge, document review, consultant coordination and experience in field review and contract administration

  • Experience in municipal, industrial and commercial projects and broad skills in all phases of project delivery

  • Strong knowledge in civil infrastructure and building systems across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Familiar with all construction administration procedures

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years' related work experience preferred

  • Registered Professional Engineer with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba or Licensed Architect with MAA

  • Experience with alternative project delivery (i.e. Design-Build or Private-Public Partnerships)
